Reiki I
The Usui
System of Natural Healing
Reiki is a safe, nurturing modality used to support the healing
process. The word “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “rei” and “ki”.
“Rei” refers to the idea of spirit or divinity, and “ki” references the
life force in all living things. Thus, Reiki is a relaxation technique
which utilizes universal life force energy to aid in balancing and
harmonizing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels of a
person. The Reiki healing system is typically divided into 3 or 4
levels here in the West.
For more information about
Reiki, attend our Free Introduction to
Reiki and read our Reiki page. The
Links page (under Complimentary and Alternative
Healing) also has great resources for deeper understanding.
