Being a six-sensory person since my childhood, I experienced the
"extraordinary knowing" and was lucky to receive insightful messages
from the Universal Source that have helped and led me throughout my
life. Accordingly, I found my Reiki teacher,
Tracy, by following my heart. I always believed
that a Reiki teacher would be someone who is well prepared to
teach-both intellectually (informative and dynamic with no
meaningless fluff) and spiritually as someone: who is not full of
self-importance or arrogance; who allows free communication to flow
between her and her students; and who has a clearly visible
relationship with her inner spirit which should manifest itself in
her life and work. Tracy brought these and other great qualities
into our Reiki class experience.
The "attunement" is a sacred ceremony, and it was an amazing
experience. I felt the flow of energies (in the form of vibrations
and heat movement in my body) which guided by the Higher Power were
adjusting my energy pathways in just the right way to allow the
Reiki Channel to open up and connect me to the Reiki Source. Later,
what I could say to Tracy was, “You did it!”
Different grounding techniques and Reiki ideas
that were discussed during the class remain very helpful to me, and
I love the meditation which was introduced and used in preparation
for Reiki practice sessions. What I especially
liked about this Reiki 1 class is that Tracy emphasized in her
teaching how to be OPEN INTUITIVELY to the flow which is essentially
a part of the true Reiki experience. This experience is based upon
who you are and where you are in this journey. That which I find to
be most beneficial to me is practicing Reiki on myself every day. I
just put my hands wherever I feel I'm being led to place them. I
trust myself and the universe, allow myself to feel the flow and
wait to see what happens as I pay attention and try to be open and
aware. I also view Reiki as a tool to self-understanding. My
position is that true healing comes from self-acceptance and
allowing resonance with the
Higher Self.
As for practicing Reiki on others, I used it on
my 11 year old son, who is quite a challenge to deal with, and, as
Tracy taught us, I didn't worry about his commitment to the process.
The fact that he actually likes my practicing Reiki on him had
healing powers by itself since that helps us to connect to and
resolve blockages in a special way through Reiki’s loving power.
I’m going to work on enhancing my Reiki 1
skills, and stay connected with Tracy and other Reiki practitioners
in efforts to make a difference in the world using the gentle and
amazing powers of Reiki.
Sincerely,
Saida
